Over its history the Fredericksburg Community Chorus has enjoyed the leadership of a few very talented Directors.
Carroll P. Kelly started as the first Director of the FCC setting the initial tone and direction for the program.
Jeannine Richardson served as the Director for 15 years from 1989 to 2004. Her dedication and leadership did much to build the culture that FCC enjoys today. Jeannine is still active today conducting her Masterworks Chorus through several concerts a year in King George, VA.
Katie Haywood served for 3 years from 2005 through 2007. She carried on Jeannine’s tradition of selfless dedication and service to lead the FCC to where it is today.
In 2008 Dr. Chris Ryder became Director of the FCC. He was a singer with FCC in his high school and college years, and is currently Director of Choral Activities and Professor of Music at the University of Mary Washington and Associate Pastor for Music at Fredericksburg Baptist Church.
